Two years ago, I wrote about everyday complaints about Jira. Complaining about Jira has become a running joke: It's too complicated, too rigid, and too time-consuming.
In all these cases, however, I believe that Jira is not the problem. You designed a complex, rigid, or time-consuming process and ruleset, independent of the software tool.
Therefore, the solution lies not in replacing Jira, but in designing a useful process and implementing it in whichever tool you prefer.
